Dear Distance, a collection of stories by Luis Katigbak, speaks close to my heart because, for some reason, it reminds me of me when I was younger. These stories are like the whispers of thoughts that floated in my mind but weren’t put into words. They make me feel like I’m reading the dreams I’ve had before. Fantastical, distant, afloat.
The stories in this book are whole adventures consumed in maybe less than five minutes but they feel like a story to live out for a lifetime. So fleeting yet satisfying. Living in a paradox of words until I finally reach the end, the part where I wake up and let out a breath of content. ☁
