“And now here is my secret, a very simple secret: It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.”
… goes one of the most remarkable lines in literature. “What is essential is invisible to the eye” rings true indeed, but makeup never really did hurt anyone, right? This is why I chose this book—The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupery, my favorite book of all time and a big driving force in my life—to create the first look for this FaceBookIt comeback!
Far from being fancy-schmancy, I made a look that is wearable and not at all costume-y because I wanted something I could apply even on ordinary days. (Well, that, and the fact I have so few yellow or green eyeshadows, haha!) But before we get to it, let me show you first the essentials for this look:

Now, let’s get ready to put on that Prince look.
FACE
Now, any makeup look should start with a clean canvas, assisted by a well-curated skincare routine. The first step I do after washing and wiping my face dry is apply primer on. After, I let it settle and then apply foundation.

PRODUCTS USED: L’Oreal Paris Infallible 24H Liquid Foundation in Beige Eclat (this is the BEST! I use this for events because it stays on for the whole day), Maybelline Dream Satin Skin Two-Way Cake Foundation in Natural, Banila Co Primer Eye Primer, Celeteque Dermocosmetics 24-Hour Photoready Matte Primer, and a Pro Studio Beauty Exclusives Face Brush
Contouring, blush and highlighting/strobing come next. (As you notice, I also did my eyebrows in the process.)

PRODUCTS USED: Master Strobing Stick, V-Face Blush Contour in Wine and V-Face Duo Stick, all from Maybelline
EYES
I did a simple smokey eye combining shadows from the BYS palette, and then lined them with Olive Jade-colored liner. Remember to add a coat of mascara on your lashes, too!

PRODUCTS USED: Intoxicated in the Sleek i-Divine Bad Girl eyeshadow palette, the Green Envy cream eyeshadow from the Victoria Jackson pocket palette, the green and yellow shadows from the BYS Diamond Shadow Palette, Holika Holika Jewel-Light Waterproof Eyeliner in Olive Jade, and Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara
I actually tried to draw stars on the left side of my face, but I didn’t have gold eyeliner that was pigmented enough, and as I have come to learn, stars drawn on the face using brown glittery eyeliner do not look like stars. Like, not at all. But there’s nothing a scrub-a-dub-dub on the affected areas using micellar water can’t fix!
LIPS
The red lipsticks, with hints of gold glitter, capped off this look. ♥

PRODUCTS USED: L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Gold Obsession Lipsticks in Le Gold and Rouge Gold, L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Lipstick in Lincoln Rose, and NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Dragon Girl
And here goes my FaceBookIt look, leaving me feeling like The Little Prince’s Rose.

Is The Little Prince also your favorite book? How would your FaceBookIt look like? Let me know in the comments section below! I would love to hear suggestions for the next one, too.
