Welcome back to Storiesnap Time, in which we feature books with illustrations in snaps and clips.
This time, we chose Dead Balagtas Tomo 1: Sayaw ng mga Dagat at Lupa by Emiliana Kampilan. This may be familiar to you, as it has gained recognition and awards in the local book community for its brave and inventive approach to interweaving Philippine geography and Filipino history. Kind of like art meets science, and it’s quite the journey. As some reviews say, “nothing quite like it has ever been done in Philippine comics.”
