Today is another day for Filipino indie komiks, and we’re sharing two (!) recommendations by our resident @komikninja: Doobiedoo Asks and Little Wolf, both part of Komiket‘s selected entries to the Philippine International Comics Online Festival (PICOF). Check out the reviews below, and click on the links for more info.
Doobiedoo Asks written by Bambi Amago, illustrated by Roland Amago
Doobiedoo asks the funniest questions, but when he asks his parents “What’s wrong with me?” — it leads them to discover Doobie has autism. Parenting may be extra challenging, but it also leads to even greater rewards.
Little Wolf written and illustrated by Cat S. (also part of “15 Books to Buy from the Manila International Online Book Fair 2020 #MIBF2020”)
Little Wolf is not afraid of exploring outside her den. But during her first hunt with the pack, she makes a mistake on the field and gets lost. Little Wolf hopes to find her way home.
Enjoyed this? Let us know in the comments section below! Remember to check out Komiket and buy copies of these titles, and let us know if you see anything you’re curious about, maybe even send us recommendations for review. Have fun and keep supporting indie and local!
