#BookbedMeets: Book Party, People

Our first time in the South (of Manila) last December 9 was memorable—and by far, the most intimate one! We talked about books, played a modified book bingo game, discussed the 2017 that was, planned for the 2018 to come (watch out for the new reading challenge!), exchanged books, met new friends. Thanks to those who dropped by and stayed, and see you in the next one… next year! ☁ #BookbedMeets is Bookbed’s Community Day. Everyone is welcome! #BookbedMeets: Pandayan Bookshop

by Agnes Manalo, Lucille de Mesa, Magsi Rover and Marj Cabatay We went to visit a Pandayan Bookshop for #BookbedMeets last October 7. Here are our experiences touring the branch in Malolos, Bulacan (plus Malolos itself!) with Pandayan’s Jacob Cabochan. Enjoy! So I was excited to join Pandayan Bookshop’s Malolos branch tour. One of my favorite parts during the bookshop tour…

#BookbedBlindDates: Bookbed’s book exchange

The idea of hosting book exchanges came up during our very first meeting (!) in June 2014—way before this community even existed. This year, we finally decided to do it! Inspired by a photo we found years ago on Tumblr), we hosted our very first #BookbedBlindDates! The mechanics are pretty simple: Dress up a book and put it up for a date. (For this round, we didn’t do it face-to-face and mailed it to one another instead.)
